I previously discussed decentralization and web 3. Blockchains and public ledgers are just one way of decentralizing our digital lives (and non-digital lives via tokenization of real world assets).

Another project I am working on hosting a collection of federated cloud apps. A federated cloud and blockchain are similar in the sense that any one can have ownership over their own data, but takes it a step further in allowing anyone to host their own software (such as our very own forum.openappsuite.org - invite only for now) and still have it connect to other servers so users can still have a diverse experience with others on the internet.

For example: imagine having your own twitter/X app with your own rules, users, etc... And you can connect to other networks so your users aren't siloed off to content only on your server.

With the Open App Suite, the goal is to provide open source (or in house) alternatives to popular apps that anyone can access and have more control over their data than with traditional providers. Eventually we can combine federated clouds and web3 tech for a safe, private, and self-custodial data experience while doing all the things we are used to doing online.

I'm excited to get the Open App Suite out of beta and start getting real users! Stay tuned! I'll be integrating this tech where I can with my existing business, and making it public when possible.

Lately I've been getting more involved in the Web3 world. The benefits of decentralisation, security, and longevity of content and apps are becoming more accessible to the average normilio.

I think it's almost possible to do everything you would do normally on the internet (email, social media, websites, events, sales, etc) on Web3. This means you can own your data, remove the costs of 3rd parties between transactions, and transact safely using your digital wallet.

Notice how it functions like a link tree page but with even more functionality. You can send payments, subscribe to mindfulness updates, or buy merch directly on that page with the click of a button and approving it in your wallet! It is way simpler and faster than purchasing something on an old school web2 site.

So I'm going to try create things with Web3 in mind first. Stay tuned for more!

In life there is only one knowing. It comes from experience. Imagine if you don't know what chocolate tastes like (or any food you haven't tried before). I can tell you how chocolate tastes, describe it, quantify it, and even write essays on it. But until you experience it, you won't know.
And if you don't know, then you must choose to believe (or not).

Another example: I am driving home and stop to refuel. A guy at the station says, "Don't go that way, road is blocked.!" Now in that moment, I can choose to believe him and take another route, or go down the road and see. Until then, I can only hold a belief or disbelief.

Whats my point?

Too often are people living in belief, yet are unaware of their own knowledge (or lack of). It doesn't matter what you believe, as long as you know what is true from experience, and when you are just going off of what someone else said, what the internet said, what that book said, etc.

Seek knowledge through experience. This is also the basis of the scienctific method and experimentation - something that seems to have been forgotten in this day of instant information. And remember, information is not knowledge. Science is not religion, yet it is often treated just as dogmatically.

Don't believe me. That's right, I'm telling you not to believe me. Belief can give you a starting point, but it can't bring you to the end. Go and test things out for yourself.

I have founded multiple companies and have worn many hats. During my adventures, I have played the roles of designer, marketer, sales manager, accountant, trainer/teacher, customer service rep, health consultant, and shipping & logistics expert, software developer, IT expert, legalese interpreter, and of course, founder.
